Clint Eastwood's 'Gran Tornio' tops box office with $29.5M
Clint Eastwood’s new Drama “Gran Torino,” in which he stars and directs, led the U.S. box office with $29.5 million in its first weekend of wide release, the highest weekend total for any of Eastwood's films, reported the Associated Press.
In second place was Bride Wars, a comedy starring Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway, with $21.5 million. Horror movie The Unborn came in third with $21.1 million.
The number one film for the last two weeks Marley and Me dropped to the fourth spot with almost $124 million.
Rounding out the top five was The Curious Case of Benjamin Button with $9.5 million.
