Clint Eastwood’s Wife Dina Eastwood Enters Rehab; Battling Depression, Anxiety After Rumors of Marriage Troubles Surface
The wife of 82-year-old Oscar-winning actor-director Clint Eastwood, Dina Eastwood, has checked into rehab after battling depression and anxiety.
According to sources close to the family, Dina Eastwood, 47, is being treated at an exclusive unidentified facility in Arizona. TMZ reported Wednesday that she is not being treated for substance abuse.
The Daily Mail reported that the couple has been engaged in an ongoing battle since last March, when they attended the wedding of Allison Eastwood, Eastwood's daughter with his former wife of 31 years, Maggie Johnson.
The pair, who married in 1996, hasn’t been photographed in public together since 2011 but did sporadically appear in the family's E! reality series, “Mrs. Eastwood and Company.”
The reality series aired on E! in 2012. The show lasted for one season and featured Eastwood’s career managing the South African musical group Overtone. The show also starred the couple’s 16-year-old daughter, Morgan Eastwood, and the actor’s 19-year-old daughter from a prior marriage, Miss Golden Globe 2013, Francesca Eastwood.
Eastwood, one of Hollywood's most enduring and acclaimed figures, last made headlines after speaking at the Republican National Convention, mocking President Barack Obama by repeatedly addressing an empty chair during his speech to represent what he called the politician's "invisible" work.
The Eastwood family has yet to comment.
