  • The Clippers will continue to miss the services of Paul George when they host the Hawks
  • The Atlanta Hawks hope to bounce back after loss to the Los Angeles Lakers

The Los Angeles Clippers will host the Atlanta Hawks Sunday at the Crypto.com Arena as both teams look to bounce back from losses.

The Atlanta Hawks lost last time to the Los Angeles Lakers, 114-130, with LeBron James leading the way after finishing with 25 points and 10 assists in his return from an illness.

The Hawks were led by Trae Young, who dropped 32 points, nine assists and five rebounds in that loss. John Collins, De'Andre Hunter and Dejounte Murray chipped in 16 points each to back up Young.

"We didn't do a good job stopping the ball or protecting the paint," Atlanta coach Nate McMillan said. "We had some fight in the second half, but just too deep of a hole."

The Hawks are averaging 115.3 points per game and are shooting 46.8% from the field. However, they need to improve on the defensive effort.

Atlanta is allowing the opposition 113.1 points per game, which is 22nd in the league. They are also giving up 33.5 rebounds per game.

Looking at the injury report, only Clint Capela has been listed as out for their match against the Clippers.

On the other end, the Clippers are hoping to end their five-game losing spell with a win at home.

In their last loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves, 115-128, it was Norman Powell coming off the bench to lead them in that loss with 21 points and six boards. John Wall and Moses Brown chipped in 14 points apiece. Paul George and Kawhi Leonard were out for that game assignment.

"It's tough when you're shorthanded the way we were tonight," Clippers coach Tyronn Lue said. "I thought our guys competed and scrapped, and we were just overmatched at times."

The Clips are averaging 109.2 points per game on 46.3% shooting from the field. They are limiting opponents to 110.8 points and giving up 34 rebounds per contest.

Despite being undermanned, the Clippers are -4 spread favorites to prevail over the Hawks, which are at +4. The moneyline is -170 for Atlanta and +140 for Los Angeles.

The Clippers will try to end their losing spell when they host the Hawks Sunday at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles with tip-off set for 9 p.m. EST. The game will be telecast over BSSE and BSSC, and live streaming will be available via fuboTV.
