CMA Music Festival 2016: Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, Chris Stapleton And More Slated To Perform
The wait is finally over, country music fans. In June, ABC sent cameras to capture the magic that is CMA Music Festival and it’s coming to a television set near you on Wednesday.
The concert, which spanned four days in Nashville, Tennessee, featured an all-star lineup of country musicians. Lesser known artists as well as award winners graced the stages, wowed the masses with their live performances. Acts like 2Steel Girls, 3 Lanes Crossing and 8 Ball Aitken performed alongside Martina McBride, Ashley Monroe, Blake Shelton, Chris Stapleton, Carrie Underwood and more. As was previously reported, The CMA Music Festival will air on Wednesday. The show kicks off at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC. The 2016 CMA Music Festival is being hosted by country superstars Brett Eldredge and Thomas Rhett. When asked about hosting the festival, Rhett told CMA World it was “a huge honor.” He added that he looks forward to the concert each year and has a lot of fond memories surrounding the festival.
“As a fan, CMA Music Fest was always the biggest event of the year for me. Some of my favorite memories are me and my buddies sitting in the nosebleeds watching our heroes play,” Rhett said. “It’s surreal and a huge honor to be hosting and performing on this stage.”
ABC has promised to “highlight many collaborations” during the show. Artists teaming up for performances include Dierks Bentley, Elle King, Steven Tyler and Martina McBride, and Little Big Town and Pharrell Williams.
