College Admissions Scandal Update: Lori Loughlin's Post-Prison Plan Reportedly Includes Telling This 'Story'
Lori Loughlin has remained a fixture in the news throughout the past year due to her involvement in the Rick Singer-led college admissions scandal. On May 22, the "Fuller House" actress appeared before federal Judge Nathaniel Gorton and pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud. Now, a new report has indicated what she hopes to do following the recent development.
Prior to entering her guilty plea, both she and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, were accused of paying Singer $500,000 so that their daughters, Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose, could attend the University of Southern California (USC). As a result, they were charged with mail and wire fraud, honest services mail and wire fraud, money laundering, and conspiracy to commit federal programs bribery in 2019.
According to Us Weekly, the Hallmark star has now started to look beyond her admission and a future prison sentence. As stated by the publication, a source revealed that Loughlin has indicated she "would love to return to TV" down the road.
Continuing, they added that the "When Calls the Heart" actress is an "eternal optimist" and is interested in telling "her side of the story" when the time is right.
Prior to the source revealing Loughlin's desire to return to television, other reports indicated what may lie in the more immediate future.
After acknowledging her role in the admissions scam, various experts spoke out about what the coming months may look like for her. Not only has it been said that her sentence could ultimately be affected by new "guidance" and that a specific "discussion" led both her and Giannulli to their decision to plead guilty, but an expert also stated that they agreed with her desire to return to TV as it could work to regain the public's favor.
