College Admissions Scandal Update: Olivia Jade's 'Carefree' Decision Before Lori Loughlin's Trial
Lori Loughlin may be getting ready for her October 2020 trial, but Olivia Jade appears to be going about her life as usual.
In 2019, Loughlin and her husband, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, were accused of paying William "Rick" Singer $500,000 so that Olivia Jade, along with her sister Isabella Rose, could attend the University of Southern California (USC). Following the allegations, they were each charged with mail and wire fraud, honest services mail and wire fraud, money laundering, and conspiracy to commit federal programs bribery.
Now, a new report has surfaced that showed the YouTuber recently made an unexpected public appearance.
According to Daily Mail, the social media star "looked carefree" as she attended a party on Thursday night. The 20-year-old was seen leaving the SHOREbar in Santa Monica, California, where a Western-themed party was being held. Drake and Kylie and Kendall Jenner were also reportedly in attendance. Olivia was also accompanied by her boyfriend, Jackson Guthy.
This recent outing follows other reports that stated that both Olivia and Isabella were not planning on avoiding the paparazzi moving forward. A source also added that they no longer "mind" being photographed.
The aforementioned appearance follows Olivia's initial reintroduction to the public eye following the admissions scam. In December 2019, she unexpectedly returned to YouTube by posting a short clip that some said was scripted. Other reports have indicated that Olivia's decision to return to the streaming platform resulted in not only criticism from the public, but is also said to have caused friction with the "Fuller House" star.
As for Loughlin herself, the "When Calls the Heart" actress has been gearing up for her upcoming court date. Not only have insiders indicated that she has attempted to avoid a potential "challenge" in the future, but others have stated that she has started preparing for her "inevitable" future by taking "grueling" and "important" steps.
At this time, she has pleaded not guilty to all charges and is said to believe that she has a "secret weapon" to prove her innocence. However, prosecutors allegedly possess an email that Giannulli sent to his accountant that they say proves his guilt.
