College Football Odds 2018: Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson, Oklahoma Favored In Conference Title Games
The only thing standing in the way of the nation’s top teams and the 2018-2019 College Football Playoff is the conference championship games. Alabama and Clemson will undoubtedly get into the postseason with wins, and the betting odds favor them heavily in their upcoming contests. Ohio State and Oklahoma are also favored as they try to play their way into the Final Four.
No.1 Alabama and No.2 Clemson can probably survive losses in the respective conference title games since neither team has been defeated this season. Alabama is a 13-point favorite over No.4 Georgia in the SEC Title Game, according to OddsShark. The betting line for the ACC Championship Game has Clemson laying a whopping 26.5 points to Pittsburgh.
A win for Georgia could get them into the playoffs. Both the Crimson Tide the Bulldogs made last year’s postseason when Georgia won the SEC title.
No.3 Notre Dame is likely in the playoffs, and they have no games left on their schedule. That means a loss for either No.6 Ohio State or No.5 Oklahoma would open the door for the other team to make the postseason.
Oklahoma faces a tough test against No.9 Texas in the Big 12 Championship Game. The Sooners are favored by 7.5 points. It would be a major upset for No.21 Northwestern to defeat Ohio State in the Big Ten Championship Game. The Buckeyes are favored by two touchdowns.
No.10 Washington is a five-point favorite over No.17 Utah for the Pac-12 Championship. No.7 UFC is favored by a field goal over Memphis in the AAC Championship Game. None of those teams are considered to be real candidates to make the playoffs.
