College Football Playoff 2016: TV Channel, Start Times, Live Stream, Predictions, Spreads For Alabama vs. Washington, Ohio State vs. Clemson
The biggest day of the college football season is set, with the No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide (13-0) facing the No. 4 Washington Huskies (12-1) in the early game, followed by the No. 2 Clemson Tigers (12-1) vs. the No. 3 Ohio State Buckeyes (11-1) in the second game. The winner of both games will play in the National Championship at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, on Jan. 9, 2017.
Both games have plenty of storylines and could be very competitive.
Alabama vs. Washington
The Crimson Tide enter the game as one of the most dominant programs in college football history. Head coach Nick Saban has compiled a stellar 113–18 (.863) record since arriving in Tuscaloosa 10 years ago. The Huskies have been rejuvenated after hiring Chris Petersen. The former Boise State coach has Washington competing for a national championship in just his third season. He will almost certainly pull out as many trick plays he can find against a perhaps over-confident Crimson Tide squad. But Alabama has so many weapons on both sides of the ball, including star defensive end Jonathan Allen. Expect the Tide to run the ball with Damien Harris and play a conservative game to hold off the Huskies.

Clemson vs. Ohio State
These two programs have had a lot in common this season. The Buckeyes have enjoyed another excellent season under Urban Meyer, and were denied an undefeated season in a road loss to Penn State, 24-21. The Tigers have been impressive, as well, with the lone loss of the season coming against Pittsburgh, 43-42, off a late field goal. Both programs boast star quarterbacks who can will their teams to victories. Clemson's Deshaun Watson is arguably the best signal caller in the college football and Ohio State's J.T. Barrett isn't far behind. This game can go either way, but the Buckeyes may have the better defense and therefore the slight edge. Freshman defensive end Nick Bosa may do just enough to slow the Clemson ground game.
