  • The couple got engaged during their getaway trip to Big Sur
  • The NFL player is “extremely happy” about the relationship milestone

Colton Underwood is no longer a “Bachelor” after recently agreeing to tie the knot with boyfriend Jordan C. Brown.

The “Coming Out Colton” star, 30, opened up about his engagement to the 39-year-old political strategist this week. In an exclusive interview with People, Underwood got candid about their milestone as a couple.

According to the NFL player, he and Brown decided that they were going to spend the rest of their lives together during their vacation on the Central Coast of California.

“After my birthday, Jordan and I went to Big Sur for a weekend getaway to decompress and relax in nature. I couldn’t have pictured a more beautiful place to celebrate an amazing milestone in my life and relationship,” he told the outlet.

The TV personality continued, “I’m extremely happy! 2021 was the most transformative year of my life. Starting 2022 off with my best friend, teammate and now fiancé is something I never thought was going to be possible.”

Underwood and Brown’s engagement came less than one year after they started dating. The two were first romantically linked in September 2021 when the professional football player and the political fundraiser were spotted packing on the PDA at Four Seasons in Maui, Hawaii, as per Page Six.

A source told the tabloid at the time that Underwood and Brown were “all over each other at the resort.”

The pair never addressed the romance rumors after their sighting made the headlines, but they eventually made their relationship official on Instagram in December.

On Monday, Underwood took to his Instagram to share a photo of him and Brown smiling side by side. He then wrote a short but sweet caption for the post that read, “Life is going to be fun with you.”

Underwood gained TV fame when he joined “The Bachelorette” as a contestant on Becca Kufrin’s season in 2018. He then became a part of “Bachelor in Paradise.”

In 2019, Underwood attracted more attention when he was named the star of “The Bachelor” Season 23. The season became controversial when the NFL player pursued Cassie Randolph over the two finalists, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Underwood’s season ended with him and Randolph becoming a couple, but the two were never engaged. They were together until May 2020. Almost a year after their messy breakup, the athlete dropped a bombshell when he came out as gay on “Good Morning America.”

His coming-out story led Netflix to cast him in his own docu-series, “Coming Out Colton.”
