Comic-Con 2012: 'Iron Man's' Robert Downey Jr. Wows Kids At Comic-Con [VIDEO]
Robert Downey Jr. shocked dozens of baby Iron Men when he showed up at the Iron Man exhibition Saturday during the Comic-Con in San Diego.
The YouTube video of Robert Downey Jr. surprising the children, who were all dressed as mini Iron Men, titled Comic Con 2012 - 'Iron Man 3' Appearance By Robert Downey Jr. has gone viral in two days with more than 400,000 views. It's also drawn 2,500 likes and more than 600 comments.
The children are all paraded to the stage for the first minute and a half. Once they are all there, the host beckons the children to yell, I love Iron Man, as soon as they finish, Robert Downey Jr. emerges from behind the scenes and asks, Did I hear my name?
The children seem to be in shock, though it's hard to tell since most of them continue to wear their Iron Man masks, but the parents and the rest of the audience are audibly thrilled when Downey turns up.
After asking the group to repeat the phrase, the actor announces, Okay, I have a winner, and then jokes, It's me.
Downey stuck around to answer some of the children's questions, and even got an Iron Man rocks out of a kid who refused to reveal his identity.
He made sure to pose for pictures with the Iron Man brood, too.
Downey also made sure to talk about his upcoming movie, Iron Man 3.
With the success of 'The Avengers,' we can afford to take even more risks, he told Access Hollywood. The third installment of the Iron Man series will be hitting theaters May 3, 2013.
With the success of Iron Man and The Avengers, Access Hollywood asked Robert Downey Jr. if there would be more movies about the beloved character.
The future is uncertain, the actor said at Comic-Con. I'm super happy and this has been just an amazing journey.
