Connor Cruise Praises Mother Nicole Kidman: 'I Love My Mum. I Don’t Care What People Say'
Connor Cruise is sharing his adoration for his mother Nicole Kidman, denying rumors that their relationship has hit a tough spot.
In the latest edition of Woman’s Day Australia, the 19-year-old aspiring DJ said their relationship is in a good place.
"I love my Mum," young Cruise told the magazine in a recent interview. "I don't care what people say, I know that me and Mum are solid. I love her a lot. My family means everything. Yeah, I love my music, but the family comes before everything else."
Connor and his sister Isabella, 21, are Kidman’s children with her ex-husband Tom Cruise. Rumors have swirled that Kidman’s relationship with them has been strained over the past few years, following her 2006 marriage to Keith Urban. According to Us Weekly, Isabella has previously said that the family remains “close.” But at the time, she added that she only sees her mom “sometimes.”
"Isabella does still speak to Nicole, as does Connor, just not as much as they used to when they were younger and Tom and Nicole were together," a source told Us Weekly in 2012. "Nicole is far away and doesn't visit L.A. often so, there's naturally going to be that distance." With Kidman splitting her time between her native Australia and Nashville with Urban and their two children, Sunday Rose, 5, and Faith Margaret, 3, the distance between her and her eldest two has been cited as a reason for their decreased communication.
