A Florida man is in jail after police found over 11 ounces of cocaine stuffed into a Cookie Monster doll during a traffic stop Wednesday. After being asked through Facebook, Monroe County Sheriff's Office joked the doll "cooperated" and was "released without charges."

Camus McNair, 39, was arrested just after midnight Wednesday morning following a traffic stop in Marathon, Florida according to a statement released by the police on Facebook. His bail was set at $7,000.

McNair was pulled over by Deputy Orey Swilley because the black Dodge passenger car that he was driving had heavily tinted windows and an obscured license plate. Deputy Swilley smelled the odor of marijuana from inside the car and that prompted a search of the car that uncovered the cocaine-filled doll.

During the car's search, a backpack was found during the car's search and inside the backpack was a "Cookie Monster" doll and Deputy Swilley noticed that the doll "seemed to weigh more than it should have."

After inspecting the doll, he found a slit cut in the doll and procured two packages of cocaine stuffed inside. There was a total of 314 grams, or 11.076 oz. of cocaine stuffed inside the blue doll.

Paperwork inside the backpack verified that the backpack belonged to McNair, and he arrested and charged with trafficking in cocaine.

The Facebook post elicited a series of jokes by commenters who were interested in the fate of the Cookie Monster doll, and the Monroe County Sheriff's Office played along.

"Was the Cookie Monster arrested though?" asked Facebook user named James Zito.

"He cooperated and was released without charges," wrote back the MCSO's account, which garnered a positive response from users on Facebook.

"That's possibly the best reply I've ever heard from a PD," wrote Keri Swanson Arriaga.

During an episode of the TV cartoon show "Family Guy," Cookie Monster's appetite for cookies was parodied and compared to a drug addict. In addition to being shown taking drugs, he is also shown being taken to a drug rehab center, where his cookies were confiscated by security officials to his dismay. He then had to be restrained by officials as he was injected with tranquilizers before he tried to attack them.

Later in the episode, Lois walks in on the "Sesame Street" character squeezing cookie dough out of a tube and into a spoon, lighting the spoon up, and said: "c'mon, c'mon!" On Twitter, this scene was posted as a GIF of Cookie Monster squeezing out cookie dough.
