Copa Del Rey Final - Octopuses 'Iker' and 'Iniesta' picks Real Madrid to beat Barcelona
In an attempt to take up the throne of psychic match-predictor, vacated by the late 'Paul' the octopus, 'Iker 'and 'Iniesta' - two other octopuses have picked Real Madrid to beat Barcelona on Wednesday's Copa Del Rey finals.
Iker, a 16-kilogram Pacific Ocean octopus, named after Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas, chose the sardine in a container covered by Madrid's team logo earlier on Wednesday. Also, he had correctly predicted the weekend's 1-1 draw in the El Classico between Real and Barca.
The other octopus, Iniesta, named after Barca midfielder Andres Iniesta, also picked Madrid to win.
The octopuses are attempting to emulate 'Paul' whose claim to fame was that he correctly predicted all the matches involving Germany in the Fifa World Cup 2010, as well as the final. The questions how successful they are will be answered in a matter of time as Barcelona and Real Madrid battle in the Copa Del Rey final.
