Cops Find Terrell Owens Knocking On Woman's Door For 'Three Hours' Friday Morning
Los Angeles police, responding to a call from a scared woman early Friday morning, found former NFL wide receiver Terrell Owens on her doorstep, refusing to leave.
The woman, who was not identified, told police Owens was banging on her door for as long as three hours by the time they arrived at 4:30 a.m. He was not arrested after the woman told the cops she “was not afraid for her safety,” she just wanted him to go away, according to TMZ.
The Seattle Seahawks cut Owens, 39, during the second week of the 2012 preseason. The six-time Pro Bowler last played in a regular season game with the Cincinnati Bengals in 2010.
Despite being regarded as one of the most talented receivers ever to play the game, Owens has had a myriad of personal problems since exiting the NFL. He was cut by an IFL team for reportedly skipping a team appearance. Then, in 2011, a warrant for his arrest was issued after he failed to pay child support and refused to appear in court.
His fall from grace included an appearance on the Dr. Phil show, where he was chided by three mothers of his children for not spending enough time with his kids. The ex-Philadelphia Eagles star blamed poor financial investments for his bankruptcy, which was revealed during an interview with GQ magazine last year.
“I’m in hell. I don’t have no friends,” he said. “I don’t want no friends. That’s how I feel.”
