Fans of “Amazing Race” were not pleased after the most recent episode when they saw how Corinne Kaplan and Eliza Orlins from “Survivor” reacted to their elimination. However, following the episode’s airing, the former competitors have revealed that they still have no regrets about the way they handled things.

In the episode, after arriving at the mat minutes behind Rachel Reilly and Elissa Slater, who they have been feuding with throughout the leg, Corinne and Eliza wound up walking away from the mat after learning they had been eliminated and crying off to the side, while also vowing they wouldn’t attend any cast parties, would block the sisters on social media and also had zero desire to see anyone else from the CBS series again. Though an extra clip showed they may have returned to the mat later on and calmed down, they still seemed annoyed to be standing there with Rachel and Elissa and admitted to being angry they had lost—and based on what fans saw on TV, the pair received a lot of heat on social media.

However, in an interview with Reality TV World after the elimination, the women admitted that they still had no regrets about the way they acted, because, at the time, it fit with how they were feeling.

“I don’t regret anything that we said,” Corinne told the website.

“I do agree with that. I don’t think I regret anything we said because we were just saying it in the heat of the moment. You’re emotional in that time. We were true to ourselves and that’s how we were feeling that moment,” Eliza added. “And the girls understand and they’re not mad at us. It’s just the reality we were living in at that time, so I don’t think I regret anything.”

The duo also explained that despite what they said on TV, they haven’t kept to their word and even have a friendship with the Reilly sisters to this day.

“I was just texting with them a few minutes ago, saying that they’re coming up in all of our exit press basically,” Eliza said. “We were all cracking up about it because we’re all friends in real life, and I adore them.”

Corinne also reflected on the way they were seen and the heat they got for their behavior at the time but admitted she still has no regrets because she doesn’t like losing.

“I’m sorry, there’s only one kind of loser that I am, and it’s a sore one,” she said. “I don’t want to lose! I put all of my work into this competition, so yeah, in that moment, I hated them! They took away from me what I really wanted!”

“The Amazing Race” airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. EDT on CBS.
