Corinne Olympios On DeMario Jackson After 'Bachelor In Paradise' Scandal: 'We're Friends'
Corinne Olympios and DeMario Jackson have moved on from the "Bachelor in Paradise" scandal.
In a recent interview with Us Weekly, Olympios, 24, said that she remains close with Jackson after the sex scandal that caused the suspension of the "Bachelor in Paradise" filming earlier this year and that they have left everything in the past. "We are friends. We're actually really good friends," she explained. "We, you know, we go to talk about everything that we wanted to talk about and all of our unanswered questions and everything like that."
In a sit-down interview with "Bachelor" host Chris Harrison, Olympios aired her side of the story about the controversy involving her and Jackson that resulted in the latter being accused of sexual assault. According to her, she doesn't blame her co-star. Olympios had been taking medication and was not supposed to drink alcohol as it did not mix well with the drug, but she was not aware of it.
"I honestly don't feel like he did anything wrong. I really just want people to know that I don't blame DeMario. I never pointed fingers at DeMario. I never said a bad word about DeMario," Olympios said.
Olympios is aware of how much the "BiP" scandal affected her and Jackson. She expressed her dismay over the incident during the interview and offered an apology to her co-star.
"I would want to tell him, like listen, I respect you as a human," Olympios said when asked what she wanted say to Jackson. "I have nothing against you. I am so sorry you had to go through this. I know exactly what it feels like...and I wish you all the best and I'm sorry."
A day after Olympios' interview was aired, she and Jackson met for the first time since the scandal broke at SBE's Nightingale Plaza in Los Angeles. During their reunion, the Miami-based business owner jumped at Jackson and wrapped her legs around him. She hugged and kissed him.
Olympios and Jackson were both reportedly happy that they reconciled and there was no bad blood between the pair. However, when she was asked if there is a chance for them to rekindle their flame from "Bachelor in Paradise," Olympios was not sure. She explained that though they are both single, she and Jackson are just friends and are still in the process of moving on from the drama.
Perhaps one reason why Olympios is not keen on reigniting her romance with Jackson was because she has found love somewhere else. Over the Labor Day weekend, Olympios was spotted cuddling and kissing a mystery man. But she has yet to confirm if she is in a relationship with the mystery man, and she only recently announced that she is single.
