Walgreens (WBA) has started drive-thru shopping of select products at its more than 7,300 pharmacy drive-thrus across the U.S. during the coronavirus pandemic.

Select products include household essentials such as cleaning supplies, sanitizers, as well as over-the-counter products such as cough and cold medications, pain and fever reducers, and immunity support items. The company is also offering select grocery items in addition to infant formula, adult nutrition products, medical supplies, first aid items, and paper goods.

To use Walgreens’ drive-thru service, consumers will confirm that the products they are looking to purchase are available at the pharmacy drive-thru window. If there are multiple vehicles in line waiting in a drive-thru, customers may be given a wait time and asked to return to pick up their order at that time.

“We are working around the clock to support our customers and patients, who are relying on us more now than ever before,” Lisa Badgley, senior vice president of pharmacy and retail operations at Walgreens, said in a statement.

“We’re continuing to quickly introduce new and different ways to meet customers’ needs for greater convenience during the COVID-19 pandemic, while also promoting social distancing as one of the most important preventive measures we can take. We also ask that customers be patient as we work to provide this new and expanded service, as there may be wait times given current demand.”

For Walgreens stores that do not have a drive-thru, the retailer said that pharmacy technicians are prepared to provide these products to customers on the spot.

Shares of Walgreens stock were down 1.64% as of 1:34 p.m. EDT on Friday.
