Cory Monteith, Lea Michele Dating: Things Are 'Getting More Serious'
While Glee co-stars Cory Monteith and Lea Michele have yet to publicly address their romantic relationship, it seems that a picture really is worth a thousand words.
Over the weekend, the couple was spotted at John F. Kennedy airport catching a flight, as Michele, 25, flashed a big smile to Monteith, 29, looking as smitten as ever.
He makes her more lighthearted . . . [things are] definitely getting more serious, a source recently told Celebuzz.
The two flew back to the West Coast and spent a romantic and cozy evening at the exclusive SoHo House, where they giggled and held hands, according to Celebuzz.
Rumors of the Glee couple dating in real life first surfaced in late February, when Michele was spotted visiting Monteith's hometown of Vancouver, Canada.
They stayed in a hotel, toured Grouse Mountain and went for sushi and sake, a source told Us Weekly of the couple's romantic escape up north.
The romance is not a surprise to many fans of the actors and the show. On Glee this season, everyone's favorite couple, Finn and Rachel (otherwise known as Finnchel) got engaged, after going through several rounds of being on-and-off.
We were floored. I knew it was coming . . . the way that it was shot and directed, he gets down on one knee but you don't even know if he's proposing. You just don't see it coming, Monteith told Entertainment Weekly in January, shortly after Fox aired the proposal episode.
Lea is one of my best friends and we've been doing this for so long. These characters are such a big part of our lives . . . so to have it cumulate into that moment is very powerful for both of us. We both got like chills. It was really weird, he added.
If the rumors are true, Monteith's romantic relationship with Michele will be his first high-profile one, as the actor has not been previously linked to any famous starlets.
In September, Michele called it quits with Broadway star Theo Stockham, after more than one year of dating.
This is not a dramatic breakup, the relationship just ran its course . . . they are still friends and will always be friends, Michele's rep said in a statement at the time.
Now in its third season, Glee remains one of Fox's most popular shows, despite dropping from 11.8 million viewers (for the season two finale) to 9.21 million viewers for this season's premiere.
In other Glee news, it was announced earlier this week that Lindsay Lohan will guest star on the show this season, with rumors that she will appear as herself as a celebrity judge at Nationals.
Lohan is the latest to join the season's star-studded run. The next episode, Big Brother, will feature an appearance by Matt Bomer (White Collar), who will guest star as Blaine's older brother. Whoopi Goldberg is also slated to appear in several episodes.
