‘Counting On’ Season 2 Star Jeremy Vuolo Talks Wedding Plans After Jinger Duggar Engagement

It appears Jeremy Vuolo is ready for the limelight. The former professional soccer player starred in his own YouTube video Thursday, expressing his gratitude to “Counting On” fans for their support in his engagement to Jinger Duggar.

“I couldn’t be happier,” Jeremy said in the clip, which was filmed outside his grandparent’s home in New Jersey. After spending a few days in New York City following his engagement to Jinger, Jeremy said he was looking forward to what is ahead of them as a couple.

“I am just so glad to be able say that she is now my fiancée,” Jeremy gushed of his 22-year-old bride-to-be. “I’m excited for the days ahead and hopefully planning a wedding here not too long from now.”

Jeremy’s post comes just hours after his parents, Charles and Diana Vuolo, verbalized their support for his engagement on YouTube. “We are thrilled about your engagement and we just wish you the best. We know that the journey is a good one,” Diana said, noting that she thinks their religious beliefs will help guide them. “With that assurance, we can smile at your future. We’re blessed about this wonderful event that’s coming up. I can’t wait for the wedding!”

Charles added he was happy to see Jinger’s ring, which they got a sneak peek of before the big day, on her finger. “We’re just thrilled with the prospect of having you in our family, adding you as a daughter to our family.”

Jinger’s parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, are equally excited about the engagement, according to their latest blog post. Jessa Seewald and Jill Dillard, Jinger’s older sisters, also shared in their sibling's big moment by posting their congratulations in separate YouTube videos. But it hasn’t just been immediate family members that have congratulated the couple. Amy (Duggar) King, Jinger’s cousin, also spoke out. The aspiring singer and fellow “19 Kids and Counting” alum joked on Instagram men everywhere would be “heartbroken” by Jinger’s newfound relationship status.

Jinger and Jeremy announced their engagement Tuesday. The big step in their relationship comes five weeks after they confirmed they were in an official courtship.

“Jill & Jessa: Counting On” Season 2 premieres on TLC next month. The new episodes will focus on possible new romances for Jinger’s brothers, as well as her courtship with Jeremy. Fans can tune in to the premiere on Aug. 23 at 8 p.m. EDT.
