'Counting On' Star Joy-Anna Duggar Welcomes Baby Girl, Shares Photos Of Second Child

“Counting On” star Joy-Anna Duggar and husband Austin Forsyth welcomed another child to their growing family last week.

Joy-Anna took to her Instagram on Monday to reveal the good news to her fans and share heartwarming snaps of her and Austin holding their baby girl. The newborn joins Joy-Anna and Austin's eldest child, 2-year-old son Gideon.

“To say my heart is full is an understatement,” she wrote. “We have been dreaming of this day and are so happy to announce that our baby girl arrived August 21st at 2:12pm weighing 8lbs 5oz and is 19.5'' long!”

“She has the best personality, is easy going and loves to be held! She has her nights and days mixed up, but honestly, I love it!” the reality star added.

The “Counting On” star also said that spending quality time with her baby at night has been special.

“We are grateful for all the love and prayers that have come our way during this pregnancy,” she said.

One of the photos showed Joy-Anna on a hospital bed with her baby resting on her chest and Austin with his arms wrapped around his family. The other image showed the 22-year-old cradling the little girl, wrapped up in a floral blanket and sporting a matching headband, as the patriarch sat beside his wife.

Although Joy-Anna revealed details about her second child, the name of the baby remains under wraps. However, fans can expect more details about the little one in the near future because the reality star promised she will give updates about her child.

Joy-Anna first revealed that she was expecting in March, and fans got to see her pregnancy journey on YouTube. In the clip, she documented Forsyth’s reaction to the good news.

At the time, Joy-Anna admitted that she was “not as scared” as she thought she would be after miscarrying at 20 weeks and shared how excited they were about the arrival of their baby.

The couple said in a lengthy, emotional Instagram post last year that unfortunately, they lost their baby girl.

Joy-Anna said that even though it was a difficult time, “God has given us unexplainable peace and comfort.”

She added, “Yes, it still hurts and we have cried countless tears, but we know that we can trust the Lord.”
