A couple was arrested earlier this week after they allegedly beat and raped a woman in front of children at a hotel in Onondaga County, New York, authorities said.
The suspects were identified as Dustin Wilson, 27, and Tasheana Flannery, 30, both from Leominster, Massachusetts, Syracuse.com reported, citing Sgt. Jon Seeber, a spokesman for the Onondaga County Sheriff's Office.
Police responded at about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday to the Red Roof Inn in DeWitt, New York, where officers found the unnamed woman, according to Seeber.
The woman told police she was allegedly beaten by a couple she met at the hotel and was forced to perform sex acts on them against her will, Seeber said. The woman also said the couple allegedly used "sex devices" to abuse and hurt her, police said in court documents obtained by Syracuse.com.
The alleged victim said this happened in front of Flannery's two small children, according to the spokesman.
The woman told authorities that she slipped away from the couple and alerted the front-desk clerk, who called 911, Seeber said.
The Red Roof Inn receptionist who called 911 told police that the woman asked for help and told her she'd been kidnapped. The receptionist then helped the woman hide in a nearby closet as she spoke to Onondaga County 911 Center dispatchers.
The alleged victim told the receptionist that the couple allegedly tied her up and repeatedly beat her with a police baton, an affidavit obtained by Syracuse.com stated.
The woman also said the couple was allegedly armed with a machete as well as the baton, according to the affidavit.
Police found Wilson and Flannery inside their hotel room and arrested them, Seeber said.
It is unclear how the woman ended up in the hotel room with Wilson and Flannery.
Wilson and Flannery were both charged with first-degree rape, three counts of first-degree criminal sexual act, two counts of first-degree aggravated sexual abuse, second-degree assault, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, second-degree unlawful imprisonment and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, according to the police spokesman.
They are currently being held in the Onondaga County Justice Center after being arraigned in DeWitt Town Court.
Wilson is being held without bail, according to Onondaga County Justice Center inmate records. Flannery is being held on $25,000 cash bail and $50,000 bond.
Flannery's two children were placed in the custody of Onondaga County Child Protective Services.
Wilson and Flannery are set to appear in court Monday. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
Wilson is also wanted on three warrants out of Massachusetts, MassLive reported, citing court records.
He allegedly threatened to cut off another woman's head with a machete in Massachusetts earlier this year.
