Couple Charged With ‘Grave Scandal’ After Refusing To Stop Having Sex On A Beach
A couple that remained engrossed in their lovemaking act on a Philippines beach in broad daylight Thursday notwithstanding police intervention to stop them, was arrested and charged with grave scandal.
The couple, consisting of a British woman and an Australian man stripped and had sex on the Boracay Island in Aklan province which is a popular family destination. Police named the former as Jasmine Nelly and the latter as Anthony Carrio, adding both of them are 26, Daily Mail reported.
The onlookers called the cops who arrived and asked them to stop but they remained heedless. Surprisingly, they continued groping each other while being taken to jail, regardless of being handcuffed.
“They were very drunk so they were still trying to finish what they started on the beach,” Joel Banga-ora, Corporal at Boracay Police Station, said.
He said that they were remotely concerned about their bodies being exposed. “The woman's breasts were fully exposed and the man's penis was visible,” he said. “They were so engrossed in each other they did not know what was happening around them.”
They were detained at the Malay Municipal Police Station and later charged at the Aklan Prosecutor's Office. In addition to the first charge, Carrio was also charged with disobedience to a person in authority for allegedly trying to run away.
They have posted $117.641 (6,000 pesos) bail each while Carrio paid another $58.820 (3,000 pesos)to restitute the second charge.
They are scheduled for a court appearance in February. "The names are correct and the trial has been scheduled for February but there are no exact dates yet. If they don't show up for trial they will get a travel ban to the Philippines,” Banga-ora added.
Police said they left Boracay and headed for Cebu city.
