Couple Uses Tiger For Bizarre Gender Reveal, Faces Wrath Of Netizens [Video]

A couple, who used a tiger for an extravagant gender reveal party, is facing the wrath of netizens after footage of the bizarre incident that happened in Dubai went viral two days ago. Netizens called the act “shameful” and “ridiculous.”

The video shows a tiger on a beach in front of the famous Burj Al Arab hotel. The beast is then shown approaching a black balloon fluttering in the air. The tiger leaps and pops the balloon with its paws, sending pink mist flying in the air to reveal the gender of the baby.

The caption along with the clip read: "Gender reveal gone #wild congrats mama." It also read: "Disclaimer - tiger was not harmed and plastic was disposed of, relax everyone."

The video was posted on verified Instagram profile, “LovinDubai,” where it has garnered over 314,396 views in three days.

Though the identity of the couple who hosted the bizarre gender reveal part is not yet public, many users slammed the couple for coming up with the stunt.

One user wrote: "This is beyond problematic...on so many levels."

"Absolutely ridiculous! Such a shame! Let the wild be in the wild!" wrote another. A user commented: "A tiger’s place is in the wilderness not as a pet in Dubai or anywhere else."

"Only it has been very much illegal to own wild animals as pets for quite a few years now in Dubai. Using them as your props for Tiktok/Instagram is disgusting," another person's comment read.

According to reports, bringing out any wild animals into a public environment is strictly prohibited under the Emirate’s laws. Police have warned that violators could face a jail term of up to six months after a wild cat was on the loose in May.

However, it is not clear whether legal action was initiated against the couple.

A few months back, a couple from Pakistan faced backlash on social media for using a sedated lion cub as a prop for their wedding photoshoot in Lahore. The photo was posted on Instagram by a studio, showing the newly-wed couple holding hands over the cub. Another picture showed the cub lying down near the couple.
