'Cowboys & Aliens': Dazzling Stars on the World Premier, Photos, Trailer and More

The premier of Jon Favreau's latest film Cowboys & Aliens was a star extravaganza as it brought out the industry's big guns like - Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford, Olivia Wilde, Sam Rockwell and Steven Spielberg.

Favreau's latest American science fiction is based on a novel written by Scott Mitchell Rosenberg in 2006 under the same title. The film is set to be released in the United States and Canada on July 29.

The synopsis of Cowboys & Aliens reads like this:

1873. Arizona Territory. A lone cowboy named Jake Lonergan (Daniel Craig) wakes up with no memory of his past. His wrist is encircled with a mysterious shackle. He enters the hard desert town of Absolution and comes to know those who live in the town don't welcome strangers. The most shocking thing he comes to know is about him - he is an infamous criminal wanted by many people, including Colonel Dolarhyde (Harrison Ford).

The deserted town soon faces attack by alien spaceships. In order to stand against the marauders from the sky, Lonergan allies with Dolarhyde and other former enemies. With the help of the subtle traveler Ella (Olivia Wilde), Lonergan forms a group comprised of his former opponents, townsfolk, Dolarhyde and his boys for an epic face-off.
