‘Crash Landing On You’ Stars Son Ye-Jin, Hyun Bin Are Getting Married
On-screen couple turned real-life lovers Son Ye-Jin and Hyun Bin announced Thursday that they are getting married in March.
The “Crash Landing On You” stars shared the happy news on social media which gave birth to the trending Twitter topic “#BinJin.”
Hyun Bin’s agency VAST Entertainment shared a picture of him on Instagram holding Son Ye-Jin’s hand with a sweet note. The post said: "Probably many of you have guessed, right? It’s true. I have made the important decision of marriage and am cautiously taking steps toward the second stage of my life,” he began.
“I have made this promise with the woman who always makes me laugh (Son Ye Jin): to always walk together in the days that lie ahead. The ‘Jung Hyuk and Se Ri’ who were together in the drama will take the first step together in that future."
Meanwhile, Son Ye-Jin, who played Yoon Se-Ri in the popular drama series, shared a photo of a tiny wedding dress on her Instagram page and wrote, “I thought long and hard about how to share this story because it’s an important one. I found someone to spend the rest of my life with,” she said.
She continued, “Yes… it’s him. It happened so naturally… But, isn’t that destiny? Just being with him, I feel warm and protected. Please help us celebrate the beginning of our future.”
The 40-year-old actress’ agency also confirmed the news saying that the private marriage ceremony will be held in March.
“The two of them, who have been dating with the warm support and attention of many, plan to have their wedding ceremony in March somewhere in Seoul,” the agency said.
The pair starred in the smash hit series “Crash Landing On You” in 2019 which follows the story of an heiress who falls in love with a North Korean soldier after making an emergency landing in North Korea.
Fans took to Twitter and expressed their excitement for the upcoming wedding.
“Hyun Bin: I promised her that she would always make me smile. Let's walk together in the future. Son Ye Jin: Just being with him, I feel warm and protected. Please help us celebrate the beginning of our future I AM SO HAPPY FOR BINJIN,” a fan wrote.
Another fan wrote, "I'M CRYING!!! #BINJIN nation we won!!!"
Another supporter talked about the timing of the couple's announcement and said, "Just in time for Valentines Day #BINJIN road to forever."
