‘Criminal Minds’ Season 12 Spoilers: The BAU Investigate Deaths Of Male Victims In Episode 12 ‘A Good Husband’ [VIDEO]
After a Spencer Reid-heavy episode, “Criminal Minds” is going back to its case of the week format. This week, the CBS series will show the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) solve another case that involves a serial killer.
The synopsis (via SpoilerTV) of the upcoming episode, titled “A Good Husband,” reads, “The BAU team is called in to investigate when male victims are found with no way to identify them.”
The promo gives very little away. The video shows a combination of various BAU members working previous cases along with this new one. Rossi (Joe Mantegna) says, “Every investigation requires patience. But most of all, a focus.”
Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler) reveals that the team’s newest Unsub is targeting men who seem to be having relationship problems. No wonder the episode is aptly titled “A Good Husband.” Also, it seems like the Unsub is a seductress who picks men in bars. A scene shows a woman in black colored high heels approaching a man, most likely her victim.
More importantly, Reid is back with the team after trying to take care of his mentally unstable mother, Diana (Jane Lynch). “Criminal Minds” fans won’t be seeing her this week, but she will be back next week (episode 13).
Unfortunately, next week’s episode is ominously titled “Spencer” and is supposed to be a course changer for the triple Ph.D.-holder. Although rumors suggest that Gubler might be exiting the CBS series, we’ll have to wait and watch to see if it’s true. It is worth noting that Lynch is also set to appear in Season 12, episode 20.
With Hotch (Thomas Gibson) gone this season, “Criminal Minds” hasn’t been doing too well in terms of ratings. It most recent episode managed to secure only 7.5 million viewers and a 1.3 demo rating. This rating matches its series lows, according to TVLine. Nevertheless, the rating is still good enough to keep the show afloat for another season.
“Criminal Minds” Season 12, episode 12 airs Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 9 p.m. EST on CBS.
