Crippled Lady Gaga Cancels Remaining Tour Dates Due To 'Show Injury'
After suffering from a crippling injury, Lady Gaga has been forced to cancel the remainder of her “Born This Way Ball,” she posted on her “Little Monsters” fan page Wednesday.
She posted this statement on her site:
“Live Nation Global Touring has confirmed that the remainder of the Lady Gaga Born This Way Ball performances have been canceled.
“After additional tests this morning to review the severity of the issue, it has been determined that Lady Gaga has a labral tear of the right hip. She will need surgery to repair the problem, followed by strict down time to recover. This unfortunately, will force her to cancel the tour, so she can heal.
“Refunds for the canceled performances will be available at point of purchase starting Feb. 14, 2013.”
On Tuesday Gaga took to Twitter to share the sad news with her followers, writing at first that just a few tour dates would be canceled because of a “show injury.”
Mother Monster is suffering from chronic pain due to synovitis, a severe inflammation of the joints.
The superstar says it’s been bothering her for months.
"I've been hiding a show injury and chronic pain for sometime now, over the past month it has worsened. I've been praying it would heal."
Gaga said she concealed the injury, waiting until she couldn’t walk, until she finally came clean about her pain, saying, “I didn't want to disappoint my amazing fans."
"However after last nights performance I could not walk and still can't," she tweeted.
"It will hopefully heal as soon as possible, I hate this. I hate this so much. I love you and Im sorry," she wrote.
The entertainer has not updated her Twitter since news broke the rest of her tour had to be canceled. Luckily, her fans seem to be understanding of her condition and wish her the best.
“I know this is very sad news, but I am glad it is being done. Gaga needs all the rest she can get to get better,” a Little Monster wrote on her page.
