Cristiano Ronaldo Supports Transfer Negotiations Involving Barcelona Forward And Juventus Center Back

The voice Cristiano Ronaldo holds is immense given the global impact he has imparted to the world of football. A recent display of his influence involves the trade negotiations of Juventus for the services of Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele.

Per Everything Barca, Ronaldo proposed an idea to trade for Dembele by giving up their center back Daniele Rugani.

There’s no question that Dembele is one of the more decorated stars in the sport today. The 23-year-old has shown much of his capabilities in the global stage with the accolades that he has gathered in his young career. The young star was a member of the France national team that won the prestigious 2018 World Cup.

While the talent and potential are there in Dembele, concerns regarding his health have been a constant issue. Despite being one of the more prolific players in the world, Dembele was recently sidelined with a hamstring injury that required surgery. This rendered him out of action for at least six months away from the pitch.

For Juventus to sacrifice Rugani, they’ll be giving away a capable defender and a reliable player on the field. The defender has been part of multiple titles for Juventus and is a four-time Italian champion. To add to this he is also a three-time Italian cup winner and was even named player of the year during his stint with Serie B’s FC Empoli.

Furthermore, Rugani is only 25 years old and has a lot more to learn in his young career. The composure he has is considered an asset to go along with his cerebral and intelligent approach to the game.

It may serve as a risk for Juventus if they give up a competent player such as Rugani for Dembele who is nursing an injury. But due to the unpredictable nature of the sport, anything can happen in the next coming months.
