Crown Princess Victoria And Princess Sofia Of Sweden Show Off Baby Bump At Official Dinner

Crown Princess Victoria and Princess Sofia of Sweden showed off their blossoming baby bumps at an official dinner hosted by King Carl XVI Gustaf and his wife Queen Silvia at the Royal Palace in Stockholm Wednesday. Both the princesses were dressed to the nines for the event and arrived on the arm of their husbands. Victoria and Sofia glittered in sparkly gowns and diamonds jewelry for the gala night.

The 38-year-old heir apparent of Sweden recycled a metallic silver-blue gown. She wore it once before when she was pregnant with her daughter. She was glowing in the confection that featured short sleeves, asymmetric neckline and an empire line. It also had a long flowing train.

Victoria accessorized with a silver sash, the Baden Fringe Tiara, diamond drop earrings and a delicate bracelet. Her tiara has 47 diamond rays and originally belonged to Queen Victoria of Sweden. She also carried a small blue box clutch. There was a huge smile on her face while her make-up was kept minimal with a slick of glossy lipstick.

Her husband Prince Daniel, 42, looked handsome in his royal finery. His look was completed with black lace-up shoes. Victoria is expecting her second child with her husband in March. The couple have a three-year-old daughter, Princess Estelle.

Meanwhile, 30-year-old Sofia looked stunning in a gold floor-length sequined gown. The dress featured short sleeves and a square neckline. However, the dress is borrowed from her friend Olivia Rehn, who wore it when she was pregnant and attended Sofia’s wedding to Carl Philip, according to Swedish publication Svenskdam.

The princess accessorized with a sash, brooch, the diamond and emerald-encrusted tiara that was designed especially for her wedding day in June and a bracelet. Sofia also carried a matching gold box clutch. Her brunette tresses were left loose and center-parted.

Her flawless make-up consisted of mascara, eyeliner, and some pink lipstick.

Prince Carl Philip looked dapper, walking next to his wife. He and Sofia are expecting their first child in April. They announced the happy news in October, just a month after Victoria and Daniel announced their baby news on the Palace’s official Facebook page. As is the tradition with the Swedish royals both the couples have not revealed the sex of their unborn babies.
