Crypto On Sept. 7: Bitcoin Slips Below $19,000, Ether Drops More Than 8%

The crypto market crashed violently Wednesday as almost every major cryptocurrency was in red and Bitcoin (BTC) lost the $19,000 price level, reaching a two-month low. Ether (ETH) also dropped to the $1,500 price region.

According to CoinMarketCap data, the leading cryptocurrencies BTC and ETH crashed by 5.35% and 8.52%, respectively. The prices of these tokens as of 1:55 a.m. ET stood at $18,778 and $1,515, respectively.

Data from Alternative.me revealed the crypto market was in "extreme fear" and there was a surge in volatility in the crypto space. Moreover, the value of the Fear and Greed Index was 24. In the last seven days, BTC slipped 7.99% while ETH dropped 5.71%.

The other top 10 cryptocurrencies were red with Binance Coin (BNB) down 6.54% to $236.36; Cardano (ADA) down 9.42% to $0.4605; Solana (SOL)down 5.92% to $31.02; Dogecoin (DOGE) down 7.27% to $0.05884; and Ripple (XRP) down 5.16% to $0.318 as of 1.55 a.m. ET.

On the other hand, the top losers in the crypto market as of 1.58 a.m. ET included Ethereum Classic (ETC) which was down 16.02% to $34.03; Uniswap (UNI) which was down 11.44% to $5.84; Bitcoin Cash (BCH) which was down 11.01% to $112.31; and Lido DAO (LIDO) which was down 15.57% to $1.84.

The best performers in the crypto space as of 1.59 a.m. ET included Helium (HNT) which was up 0.84% to $3.84; Kyber Network Crystal V2 (KNC) which was up 1.13% to $1.70; Voyager Token (VGX) which was up 26.71% to $0.9551; and Ellipsis (EPS) which was up 1.93% to $0.185.

Aave (AAVE) was down 4.42% to $83.27 while Shiba Inu (SHIB) was down 5.58% to $0.000012 as of 2:25 a.m. ET. According to the algorithm by Bitnation, the maximum price of AAVE is expected to be $149.90 while the maximum price of SHIB is expected to be $0.000022 by the end of 2022.

Meanwhile, metaverse token The Sandbox (SAND) was down 9.42% to $0.8735 and Decentraland (MANA) was down 9.47% to $0.8733 as of 2.31 a.m. ET.
