CSI Star Attacked on NYC Subway
CSI: Crime Scene Investigator cast member, Gerald McCullouch was attacked on a New York City subway by a knife-wielding mugger early Sunday.
McCullouch, 41, who plays ballistics expert Bobby Dawson on the hit CBS show CSI, was busy editing a YouTube video on his laptop when the attacker jumped into the subway car and tried to steal the computer, the New York Daily News said.
A trained boxer, McCullouch fought back and gave him a body shot to the chest, That's when he pulled a kitchen knife out of a black plastic bag, McCullouch said.
This thing must have had a blade 10 inches long. ...I yelled at the top of my lungs, 'Get the [bleep] away from me!' That's when the knife came down into my back. I don't know whether he lost his grip or what, but the blade didn't penetrate my leather jacket.
Fortunately for McCullouch, no damage was done and police arrived and arrested James Torres, 39 year old. He was charged with criminal possessing a weapon, robbery and assault.
