In less than a month, Cuba Gooding Jr. will be in court fighting charges of sex abuse, and while most people would lay low during such a time, Gooding has taken a different approach: partying.

The 51-year-old was spotted out at Richie Romero’s Gramercy cocktail lounge Hidden Lane and was apparently having a grand old time. He was accompanied by Claudine De Niro, an entrepreneur and real estate agent who's been romantically linked to the actor.

"He was in good spirits. He was sipping cocktails with Claudine. They were super close all night and hanging out with a small group of friends," an onlooker told Page Six.

The duo even let others join in on the fun when they migrated over to Karaoke One 7, according to the news outlet.

Gooding currently faces a misdemeanor charge for forcible touching and sex abuse in the third degree relating to the alleged groping incident that occurred in New York City in June. His attorney, Mark Jay Heller, attempted to get the charges dismissed. However, that attempt was unsuccessful.

Despite this news, Heller believes that the "Jerry Maguire" actor will be acquitted.

"I am totally confident that when a jury of Cuba Gooding Jr.'s peers assess all of the exculpatory evidence in this case, that he will be totally exonerated," he said in a statement.

Gooding is set to appear in court next on Oct. 10.
