Culver’s Serves Up Cheesy CurderBurger For National Cheese Curd Day
Burger chain Culver’s has added a new cheese curd-inspired burger to its menu for one day only – the CurderBurger.
The burger, which will debut on Friday for National Cheese Curd Day, is available in limited supply. It features a Deluxe ButterBurger topped with a “crown of golden fried cheese” that is made up of a blend of both yellow and white cheddar cheese curds seasoned in crispy bread crumbs.
According to Culver’s, “the cheese crown offers a warm, buttery crunch and gooey cheddar in every bite.”
Culver’s created National Cheese Curd Day, so it is only fitting that it released the CurderBurger on the holiday. The Wisconsin-based chain specializes in serving up cheese curds along with its ButterBurgers and frozen custard.
The CurderBurger, however, actually started as an April Fool’s Day joke earlier in the year, with an imaginary burger that, with some pleading from fans, became a reality this year.
“When we saw guests' enthusiastic reactions to the April Fools' Day post, we knew we had to make the CurderBurger a reality,” Quinn Adkins, Culver's director of menu development, said in a statement. “This burger gives them what they want and is a perfect way to celebrate the cheesiest holiday on the calendar.”
The CurderBurger will be available at Culver’s 808 located across the U.S. while supplies last. Customers can locate the nearest Culver’s by using the restaurant locator at culvers.com/locator.
Customers who get their hands on a CurderBurger will also have the chance to win a limited-edition T-shirt from Culver’s if they upload a photo of themselves enjoying the burger to culvers.com/curderburger by Oct.22.
