CD Projekt Red’s “Cyberpunk 2077” is one of today’s most awaited video game titles. It reportedly features a rich dystopian world and offers great character customization options. A video released recently revealed that it also has different playstyles players can enjoy.

In a 15-minute deep dive video, CD Projekt Red revealed that there are three different playstyles that players can choose from. There’s a “Netrunner” build that focuses more on stealth, hacking and control of the battlefield using technology; a “Solo” build that focuses more on brute force and melee action; and a “Techie” build that takes advantage of the physical technology available in the game’s world.

Here’s a quick rundown on the three different playstyles, as per GameSpot:

Netrunner

“Cyberpunk 2077” quest design coordinator Philipp Weber said the Netrunner playstyle gives players “opportunities to be creative in how you play the game.” Netrunners can take use hacking skills to use technologies against enemies without even being seen.

For example, Netrunners can hack cameras to spy out enemies before entering any location. Netrunners can also hack enemy turrets and use these to eliminate enemies. Players who use the Netrunner build can also distract enemies by hacking vending machines and robot dummies.

Solo

Players who enjoy attacking enemies at close distances will love the Solo build. The Solo playstyle gives players access to melee cyberware and specialized skills allowing them to defeat enemies up close.

Pawel Sasko, “Cyberpunk 2077” lead quest designer, said players can customize their Solo builds. A “Strong Solo” build, for example, can “shove people into trash bins and pick up heavy guns.” A “Fast Solo,” on the other hand, can move around quickly using double jumps.

Techie

Techies are very different from Netrunners and Solos. “Cyberpunk 2077” senior level designer Miles Tost said Techies "dabble with cables and whatever [else that] drives machinery" in Night City.

CD Projekt Red didn’t reveal much about the Techie build. Tost, however, said that Techies will be granted access to “Flathead,” an autonomous spider-bot that users can command to do a variety of things like manipulating devices or causing enemies to get hit by malfunctioning objects. Tost simply described Flathead as “very sophisticated military hardware.”

Players will be given the opportunity to choose between these playstyles, as well as from three different origin stories.
