DaBaby is causing a stir online after namedropping teen star Jojo Siwa in a freestyle rap. In terms of the value of their brand, here’s how DaBaby’s compares to Siwa.

DaBaby’s net worth stands at around $3 million as of 2020, Celebrity Net Worth reports. He first made headlines following talks of him signing with rapper and mogul Jay-Z’s record label Roc Nation. However, the deal did not push through for unknown reasons.

As a young, up-and-coming rapper, DaBaby had to pay other rappers for collaborations. He once paid Boosie $15,000 for him to appear in one of his songs, Complex reports. It was a good investment for DaBaby as the first collaboration led to another for the duo, at half the price.

It was after signing with Interscope that he found success. His 2019 debut release “Baby on Baby” reached the number two spot on Billboard’s rap charts. He ended the year with multiple chart-topping songs under his belt, including songs “Baby” and “Intro.”

On April 2020, he released his album “Blame It on Baby” which shot up to the top spot on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart. It marked his second number one after the success of “Kirk.”

Rumors of DaBaby dating singer-songwriter DaniLeigh immediately spread after dropping their collaboration “Levi High.” Both camps denied the rumors, but gossips about their relationship resurfaced after it was found that they were staying at the same hotel during quarantine in 2020.

Meanwhile, Siwa started building her fortune by posting videos on YouTube. She later signed a deal with children’s network Nickelodeon that made her net worth surge to $14 million. Her stint with the network saw her appearing in shows like “Lip Sync Battle Shorties” and “The JoJo & BowBow Show Show.”

The teenage superstar built her fortune through a range of Siwa-branded merchandise capitalizing on her signature bow and colorful outfits.

DaBaby recently drew the ire of Siwa's fans after he namedropped the YouTube star in his "Beatbox" freestyle.

"N----, you a b----/ JoJo Siwa, b----/ She let the wrong n---- get rich," DaBaby rhymes on the track. He then holds up a photo of Siwa smiling. In the "Beatbox" video, he holds up a photo of a smiling Siwa.

In hopes of taming gossips, DaBaby clarified the issue in a tweet saying he didn't mean any disrespect in mentioning Siwa.

“Don’t let em trick you into thinking id ever have a problem with you. My word play just went over their heads.” tweeted the Cleveland-born rapper. "My 3 year old princess is your number 1 fan. I bought her every product you have out. She think she you."

DaBaby released a new song entitled “Masterpiece” in early 2021. With his chart-topping songs, it will only take a short time to achieve the same success attained by Siwa.
