Leading indicators to be released
The conference board's index for June will be released today at 10am EST. The June indicator is expected to show a slight gain after the number of housing permits rose. May indicators spiked 1.2 percent, topping the 1.1 percent jump in April that ended a long run of declines.
Federal minimum wage to rise this week
The federal minimum wage goes up to $7.25 from $6.55 on Friday July 24. About 4.5 million workers will see their hourly wages boosted.
Dennis Lockhart gives speech on economic outlook
Atlanta Federal reserve bank president Dennis Lockhart will speak today at 1:30pm to the Rotary Club of Nashville on the economic outlook.
