Dallas Cowboys vs. Philadelphia Eagles 2020: Line, Odds, How To Watch Live Stream
The Dallas Cowboys visit the Philadelphia Eagles on “Sunday Night Football" in a matchup the NFL likely thought would have stronger interest. The top contenders in the NFC East have been two of the league’s biggest disappointments ahead of their Week 8 game.
No team has failed to meet expectations like the Cowboys. Considered a top preseason Super Bowl threat, Dallas is struggling to stay out of last place.
Dallas’ 2-5 record only tells part of the story of their nightmarish start. Dak Prescott is done for the season with a broken ankle. In two games without their franchise quarterback, the Cowboys have been outscored 63-13.
Backup quarterback Andy Dalton suffered a concussion in last week’s 25-3 drubbing at the hands of the Washington Football Team. Rookie Ben DiNucci is preparing to start under center for America’s Team in primetime.
With a seventh-round draft pick potentially about to make his first NFL start at quarterback, the Cowboys are heavy underdogs in Philadelphia. The early betting line is 7.5 points in favor of the Eagles, according to odds compiled by OddsShark.
The betting total is 43.5.
The point spread is more so a reflection of Dallas’ struggles, not an endorsement of Philadelphia. The Eagles are in first place by default, going 2-4-1 through seven weeks.
Philadelphia needed some help and a little bit of luck to complete a fourth-quarter comeback and defeat the New York Giants by a point in Week 7. The Eagles’ offense has been ravaged by injuries with just about all their top playmakers missing at least some time.
Carson Wentz has improved after a poor start. The quarterback has the same number of touchdown passes and interceptions, though he just posted season-highs of 359 yards and a 91.1 passer rating in the team’s last game.
The Eagles will host the Cowboys at 8:20 p.m. EDT on NBC. Viewers can watch the game online at nbcsports.com or with the NBC Sports App.
