Dallas Man Kills Girlfriend After HIV Revelation: 'She Killed Me, So I Killer Her," Larry Dunn Jr. Allegedly Confesses
A Texas man allegedly killed his girlfriend after she revealed she had HIV, according to police.
"She killed me, so I killed her," Larry Dunn Jr., 36, of Dallas, allegedly said in his confession to Dallas detectives in the murder of his girlfriend, 28-year-old Cicely Bolden, police told WFAA TV.
The father of Bolden's son, Jeff Busby, told the station that Bolden contracted HIV "within the last couple of years" but did not elaborate on how she acquired the virus.
"She was a sweet, sweet person," Busby told WFAA.
Dunn allegedly killed Bolden by stabbing her and then leaving her young children to discover her dead body, according to the television station.
"The kids came home around 3:30 p.m. Thursday, and when they walked inside the house, they came out crying," said neighbor Latoya Arnett. "I ran out to see what was wrong with them. They were saying, 'Something's wrong with mama!'"
Arnett said she went inside the apartment and saw Bolden dead with stab wounds on her body.
"All I know is, she didn't deserve it and her kids didn't deserve to see her like that," she told WFAA. "She was a good mom. Loved her kids to death," she said. "I can't imagine my kids seeing me like that. I know it hurt them."
Dallas police said Dunn and Bolden "recently started dating," according to the station, and that Dunn had been cooperative with authorities in the murder investigation.
According to an interview with Dunn taped by police, the Dallas man said he had sex with Bolden in her South Dallas apartment and that she told him she had HIV after the encounter.
Dunn became upset at the revelation and went into the kitchen to grab a kitchen knife before allegedly stabbing Bolden to death, WFAA reported.
During his alleged confession, Dunn said, "she killed me, so I killed her."
The 36-year-old is in custody, WFAA reported, and being held on $500,000 bond.
