American basketball team known for its contributions to the Nations Basketball Association (NBA), Dallas Mavericks, announced that the team would dish out $100 worth of Bitcoin to those who download the Voyager app.

The Mark Cuban-owned team has given 48 hours to the people to download the application and be eligible for $100 in Bitcoin.

"Fans who download the app, create an account with promo code MAVS100, deposit $100, and make one trade can receive $100 in free BTC for the next 48 hours," tweeted Bobby Karalla, Dallas Mavericks’ digital content manager.

The offer will expire Sunday at 12:59 a.m. ET. In another tweet, Karalla announced the partnership of Dalla Mavericks with Voyager Digital. The partnership contract lasts for five years, which will make Voyager Digital the first cryptocurrency brokerage and international partner.

A press conference was held to discuss the same at 5:00 p.m. ET, which you can watch here. According to the press release, the two partners "will work to make cryptocurrency more accessible through educational and community programs, global activations, and fan engagement promotions."

The partnership will also include naming rights to the Mavs Gaming Hub, the official event venue for the Mavs NBA 2K League team.

Additionally, the governor of the team, Mark Cuban is very excited and claims that this partnership will attract a global audience outside of the USA and Canada. "Crypto assets and applications are changing how business and personal finance are done. We believe our partnership with Voyager will allow Mavs and NBA fans to learn more about Voyager and how they can earn more from Voyagers' platform than from traditional financial applications," said Mark Cuban.

Mark Cuban is known for being a staunch supporter of cryptocurrencies. He has been actively supporting Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Polygon (MATIC). With his personal investment in Polygon, Mark Cuban said that Bitcoin is the "better gold than gold" in the current market while Ethereum has the "most upside" as an investment.
