Dan Levy Debunks 'Ant-Man 3' Rumors; Calls Dinner With Paul Rudd A 'Lose-Lose' Situation [Video]
Actor Dan Levy debunked rumors of his appearance in Paul Rudd's upcoming movie, "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania," noting the downside of having dinner with the Marvel actor.
Levy appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" Thursday and noted how the internet went "wild" after he and Rudd were snapped together in London. During the interview, the host pulled out the viral photo that began the speculation of him joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The 38-year-old actor explained looking at the photo, the "downside" of having dinner with Rudd.
"The downside of having dinner with Paul Rudd is that the internet, in this case, went wild with a conversation that included: Paul Rudd looks so much younger than Dan Levy, they must be best friends, and Dan is in talks to be in Ant-Man," Levy noted the remarks he received on the photo.
"And the answer is: I wish I was best friends with him, not true, not in Ant-Man, and he also looks much younger than me," he added. "So it's kind of a lose-lose, other than the fact that you're having dinner with Paul Rudd, which is a win-win."
Levy also took to Instagram Wednesday to share a photo from the interview featuring him and the host. "Had a great time with my best friend @jimmykimmellive tonight," he wrote in the caption.
While the "Schitt's Creek" star denied the rumors, another actor Bill Murray recently confirmed that he will be appearing in the highly anticipated movie.
Although Murray noted that he is "not interested in these huge comic book adaptations as an actor" but he is doing it for the sake of director Peyton Reed.
"Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" is slated for release on July 28, 2023.
Levy was a regular on the popular TV series, "Schitt's Creek" from 2015 to 2020. The actor was featured in "Dear Class of 2020" and "Happiest Season" in 2020.
He also lent his voice for a TV comedy series, "Q-Force" which is based on LGBTQ+ superspies. The series dropped on Sept. 2 and is currently streaming on Netflix.
