It appears Abby Lee Miller is excited for the upcoming season of Lifetime’s “Dance Moms.” The ALDC (Abby Lee Dance Company) coach recently shared a behind-the-scenes video from the Season 6, episode 3 competition.

The “Dance Moms” cast made an appearance at Devotion 2 Dance in San Ana, California, Saturday. Despite rumors Abby, 49, was in a sour mood at the event, she appeared to be more than thrilled by the competition turnout. Abby shared a short sneak-peek video of her students' performance and smiled in a behind-the-scenes shot on Instagram Sunday. “All made up and ready to compete,” she captioned the picture, which showed her students in costume. “Let’s do this!”

If Abby was upset at the taping, it wouldn’t exactly be a surprise. Not only has she faced her fair share of legal troubles this month -- she was indicted on bankruptcy fraud charges Oct. 13 -- her star student, Maddie Ziegler, was not present for the episode 3 competition. While her team competed on the West Coast, Maddie, 13, was filming "The Book of Henry" in New York City with “Jurassic World” director Colin Trevorrow.

So, how did the ALDC fare without Abby’s star pupil? According to the competition results, not too badly! One "Dance Moms" spoiler site reports that the ALDC’s group hip-hop dance, choreographed by Guy Amir, placed first in the teen division. ALDC soloists Kendall Vertes and JoJo Siwa were also recognized by the judges. Kendall, 12, reportedly took home first place with her jazz routine “All Eyes on Me.” JoJo, 12, took second place in the specialty preteen division with her solo “I’ll Show You the Dark Side.”

While her teammates competed, Maddie appeared to be busy impressing her “Book of Henry” director. The filmmaker took to Twitter to gush over the young performer. He also shared a photo from the set, which appears to show Maddie dancing onstage in front of a large crowd.

"Dance Moms" is expected to return in 2016, though Lifetime has not announced a premiere date for Season 6.
