‘Dance Moms’ Season 7 Spoilers: ALDC Introduces New Elite Team Dancers As Candy Apples Return
Out with the minis and in with the teens! Following Lifetime production’s removal of Abby Lee Miller’s mini team last week, it appears the coach has introduced two new elite junior team performers to the “Dance Moms” Season 7 cast.
Two unfamiliar faces danced alongside stars Kendall Vertes , Nia Sioux, Kalani Hilliker and Brynn Rumfallo at Fierce National Dance Competition in San Diego on Saturday. Footage from the “Dance Moms” event shows fresh faces Camryn Bridges and Daviana Fletcher performing with the elite junior team to the lyrical number “We Go On.”
It’s unclear if Camryn and Daviana are going to become full-time “Dance Moms” cast members of if they’re just guest stars. It was previously reported that dancers Maesi Caes, Chloe Folce, Emma Hodges and Taylor Tucker were among the finalists for elite junior team spots following Abby’s “Dance Moms” summer audition tour. Whoever does remain, it’s clear the ALDC is in need of new talent. JoJo Siwa is rumored to have left the show in favor of new projects and the Ziegler sisters don’t appear to be returning anytime soon.
Elsewhere at the West Coast event, Cathy Nesbitt Stein’s Candy Apples made their official comeback. One “Dance Moms” spoiler site reports failed ensemble team member Ava Cota, “Abby’s Ultimate” alum Haley Huelsman and Nicaya Wiley (viewers will likely remember her mom, Black Patsy) were among the CADC performers.
So, how did the ALDC fare against their longtime rivals? Attendees report Abby’s elite team took home first place in the teen division and earned the overall high school for “We Go On.” Cathy’s group is said to have taken on second overall in the teen division for the aptly titled “I’m Back... I’m Your Nightmare.”
The competition also saw three duets. Kalani and Kendall took home first-place for their contemporary piece “My Shadow and Me,” while Kalani and Nia’s contemporary routine, “Young and Restless,” placed second. Ava and Haley’s open category number, “Under Your Skin,” rounded out the top three in the teen division.
While “Dance Moms” is already in production on Season 7, Lifetime only just started airing episodes for the back half of Season 6. Tuesday’s installment will see the return of Abby's now defunct mini group. Tune in at 9 p.m. EDT on Lifetime to catch up on all the latest drama!
