‘Dance Moms’ Spoilers: Kendall Vertes Hints Season 4 Might Be The Last
Bad news, “Dance Moms” fans. It seems like the upcoming season of the reality-TV dance competition series might be its last. During a recent interview with Wzra-TV, “Dance Moms” star, Kendall Vertes, 11, hinted that the popular Lifetime program may take its final bow later this year.
“There’s going to be some drama,” Kendall said of the hit series' upcoming Season 4 (part 2) premiere July 29. “I mean, it might be the end."
While Lifetime has yet to confirm or deny the young dancer’s claims, one thing is for certain: the season won’t be drama-free.
“Lots of drama!” fellow “Dance Moms” star, Nia Frazier, 13, said of the show’s premiere later this month.
According to the girls, separate from the starring role of their tyrannical coach, Abby Lee Miller, the addition of ALDC's newest elite group members: Ava Cota, 12, Sarah Reasons, 13, Jade Cloud and Kamryn Beck, both 14, and Tea’ Adamson and Sarah Hunt, both 9, is a source of contention for all this season.
“A lot of people [are] coming in and learning the dance,” said Nia. “It’s just crazy.”
“We have the new team coming in which is a big deal for us,” added Kendall. “I mean, it’s a lot work just having just seven girls and now there’s, like, what? 14 or 15?”
While Miller’s decision to include several new dancers on her Pittsburgh-based competition team may have rattled some of the girl’s dance moms, the performers claim that the group's members are all close friends behind the scenes.
“We are basically sisters … We fight sometimes. But then we’re like, sisters fight,” Nia admitted of her three other competition teammates: Maddie Ziegler, 11, Mackenzie Ziegler, 10, and Chloe Lukasiak, 13.
“We hug each other and start crying, like, ‘I’m so sorry I yelled at you!” Kendall explained.
“We make each other better though,” Nia added. “Whenever were off or something, usually instead of hanging out with our school friends, we’ll be like, ‘Hey, what’cha doing?’ And just call our dance friends over.”
Forunately for “Dance Moms” fans who favor the girl’s dancing over the mom drama, viewers can anticipate many new competition routines to look forward this season.
“We have some pretty cool dances,” said Nia. “More props. More beautiful, beautiful costumes this season.”
“Dance Moms” first premiered on Lifetime in July 2011. The success of the series resulted in two spinoffs for Miller, “Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition” in October 1012 and the newly released, “Abby’s Studio Rescue.”
Season 4 of “Dance Moms” returns to Lifetime Tuesday, July 29 at 9 p.m. EDT.
