‘Dance Moms’ Star Chloe Lukasiak Shares Photo Of ‘Center Stage: Dance Camp’ Cast Amid News She Landed Role in Lifetime Movie
Former "Dance Moms" star Chloe Lukasiak is keeping busy after leaving Abby Lee Miller's dance company, ALDC, a year ago. Since her exit, the young dancer and TV personality has appeared in a few music videos, done some modeling and won several awards. Now, Lukasiak can add actress to her growing résumé.
According to Deadline, the 14-year-old is tapped to play a dance prodigy named Gwen in the Lifetime movie "Center Stage: Dance Camp." The film will follow the original 2000 movie "Center Stage" and the 2008 sequel "Center Stage: Turn It Up."
The outlet reports that the plot for "Center Stage: Dance Camp" will center on Jonathan Reeves (Peter Gallagher) trying to figure out a way to update the dance styles at the American Ballet Academy. In an attempt to add more contemporary and modern techniques, he asks choreographers Charlie (Sascha Radetsky), Cooper (Ethan Stiefel) and Tommy (Kenny Wormald) to hold a dance camp where aspiring young performers can compete for a chance to earn a spot at the ABA. Lukasiak, who will play one of the students at the camp, recently shared a photo of herself and the cast on Twitter.
"Center Stage: Dance Camp" has not been given a release date yet, but production has started in Vancouver, British Columbia. The film will also star Nicole Muñoz, reprising her role as Bella Parker.
As previously reported, Lukasiak announced last month during an appearance on "The Doctors" that she was also creating a line for two major retailers.
"I can’t say who but I’m going to announce it soon," she teased.
Besides Lukasiak continuing to work on her post-"Dance Moms" career, the teen's love life is also blossoming. Last week, she and boyfriend Ricky Garcia celebrated their four-month dating anniversary with a cute selfie.
