‘Dance Moms’ Star Mackenzie Ziegler’s Ralph Lauren Modeling Photos Praised By Abby Lee Miller
Maddie and Mackenzie Ziegler are believed to have wrapped on Lifetime's “Dance Moms” but it appears their longtime coach isn’t holding a grudge. On Thursday, Abby Lee Miller took to social media to praise the 11-year-old’s new modeling career.
“I’m so proud,” Abby, 49, captioned a photo of Mackenzie in a Polo Ralph Lauren ad on Instagram. “It’s like riding a bike, once you learn you never forget!” Mackenzie’s mom, Melissa Gisoni, also used her account to sing her youngest daughter’s praises. Melissa wrote she was “excited” to visit a Macy’s and see Mackenzie and model Levi Miller’s ad in person.
Mackenzie’s ad campaign with Polo Ralph Lauren comes several months after she walked in the fashion house’s Fall 2015 Children’s Fashion Show in New York City.
This is the second time in recent weeks Abby has complimented her student's talents. “Mackenzie won the overall high score today!!!” Abby announced on Instagram on Jan. 31 after her pupil won first-place for a hip-hop solo at one of her last competitions for the Lifetime series. “She may have portrayed a bully but I could not have been prouder of this kid!”
Of course, Mackenzie isn’t just a dancer and model, she’s also a singer and actress. With Abby's help, Mackenzie released her first album “Mack Z” in 2014. The music video for her debut single “It’s a Girl Party” has over 26.7 million views on YouTube. Mackenzie followed up with two Christmas singles the same year, “Christmas All Year Long” and “Sleigh Ride.” After taking on the music world, Mackenzie tried her hand at acting in 2015, starring in a guest role on Nickelodeon’s “Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn."
Mackenzie and her sister Maddie, 13, reportedly filmed their last episode of "Dance Moms" on Feb. 28. The sisters’ tearful goodbye was captured on video by a fan during their appearance at New York Dance Experience in Riverside, California. The episode will air as part of Season 6, which Lifetime recently renewed for an unspecified number of episodes.
For now, “Dance Moms” fans can catch Mackenzie, Maddie and Melissa on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. EST on Lifetime.
