Maddie Ziegler stars on Lifetime’s reality-TV series “Dance Moms,” but she’s no longer just a TV personality. After accumulating almost 670 million views for her performances in two of pop singer Sia’s music videos, and taking the stage at the 57th annual Grammy Awards, Maddie took a moment to discuss her hectic life behind the camera and what viewers didn’t see at the awards show.

According to the the 12-year-old dance prodigy, Sia isn’t the only musical star who has taken notice of her. During her performance of “Chandelier” and “Elastic Heart” with Sia at the Grammys last Sunday, Maddie claims two of Hollywood’s biggest A-listers were watching her.

“It was amazing because everyone knew who I was,” Maddie told CBS Pittsburgh, later revealing, “I look out in [the] audience and Kim [Kardashian] and Kanye [West] were just sitting there, like oh my god, they were just watching me. So it was really cool.”

Following her performance with Sia, the “Dance Moms” star said she was also recognized by “Hollaback Girl“ singer and former “The Voice“ judge Gwen Stefani backstage. “Gwen Stefani was like, ‘Oh, I remember you.’ I was like, ‘Oh my god, that’s amazing,” Maddie said.

With her first Grammy performance behind her, Maddie is now back to perfecting her craft at dance coach Abby Lee Miller’s famed ALDC studio in Penn Hills, Pittsburgh. As most “Dance Moms” viewers are aware, Maddie is homeschooled, and thankfully so because according to the tween, her day-to-day schedule is jam-packed.

CBS Pittsburgh reports that Maddie spends “all day” dancing at ALDC, kicking off her days with a 9:30 a.m. ballet private before finally ending her run at 9:30 p.m. following a rehearsal. In between her dance classes and filming “Dance Moms,” Maddie is being tutored. However, in the past year, her schedule has not been constant. In recent months, Maddie has landed several gigs, including appearances on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” “Dancing With the Stars,” a guest blogging stint with ELLE.com and even an upcoming appearance on Disney’s “Austin & Ally.”

“It’s just crazy,” Maddie said of her recent success. “I never thought I’d be doing all this, performed on so many shows, the Grammys, not even in a year.”

With what appears to be the first half of Season 5 of “Dance Moms” completed, you may think Maddie would take a break from the entertainment industry, but that’s not the case. Starting Feb. 26, Maddie, Abby and the rest of the ALDC team will embark on a nine-stop tour throughout Ireland and Australia. Their last stop will take place in Melbourne on March 23.

Catch up with Maddie and the rest of the “Dance Moms” cast Tuesdays at 9 p.m. EST on Lifetime.
