‘Dancing With The Stars’ 2015 Finale Spoilers: Season 20 Winners Revealed; Find Out Which Couple Won Mirror Ball Trophy
Season 20 of “Dancing with the Stars” started out with 12 hopeful celebrity contestants, each vying to win the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy. But after 10 weeks of the grueling competition, only one couple from the 2015 installment danced away with it all.
Rumer Willis and Val Chmerkovskiy earned the title of “DWTS” Season 20 champs Tuesday night, going head-to-head with fellow finalists Riker Lynch and Allison Holker and Noah Galloway and Sharna Burgess. Although each of the three couples were worthy of being crowned king and queen of the ballroom floor, it was ultimately Rumer who proved the regal title of “DWTS” winner was hers.
“I have found a confidence I never thought was possible,” the actress-singer said during the finale, elaborating on “Good Morning America” the following morning that the hit ABC series has changed her life. “This is incredible. I never thought I would be capable of doing [this].”
Rumer went on to thank her dance partner for his support throughout the season as well as her fans, for their “incredible response" during her "DWTS" journey.
“That’s who this Mirror Ball is for. It’s for everyone who felt they weren’t good enough,” she said.
Rumer’s parents, actors Demi Moore and Bruce Willis, gave their daughter a special message during the morning show.
“You did it, kid! I am so proud of you. What else? What can we say?” Moore asked the “Die Hard” actor who stated, “Get back out there!”
Season 18 winner Maksim Chmerkovskiy also congratulated the duo in a video message. “You totally deserved it,” he told his brother and Willis, who earned perfect scores for both their fusion dance and their freestyle number, which was danced to the soundtrack of Rumer’s rendition of Britney Spears' “Toxic” featuring Val on the violin.
Rumer said now that "DWTS" is over, she’s working on an album. And according to the performer, the finale was a “great way” to transition into the world of singing, allowing her to debut her talent to the world.
“I’m really excited,” the soulful songstress gushed on “Good Morning America.”
