‘Dancing With The Stars’ 2015 Spoilers: Season 21 Contestant Alek Skarlatos Gets ‘Sexy’ In Week 3's ‘True Blood’ Routine [VIDEO]
Things are looking bloody good for “Dancing With the Stars” contestant Alek Skarlatos. Not only did the Season 21 performer receive a commendable score for his “True Blood”-themed tango during week 3 of the hit ABC series, but the fan favorite also scored a hot date for the weekend on Monday night's show.
The dark and sensual performance, soundtracked to Jace Everett’s “Bad Things,” earned Skarlatos and his partner Lindsay Arnold a total of 33 out of 40 from the judges (including guest judge -- and Season 19 Mirror Ball trophy winner -- Alfonso Ribeiro).
“I love watching you dance,” Carrie Ann Inaba said to the American hero, who was channeling his inner Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) from "True Blood," the beloved HBO vampire series that ended in August 2014.
“I thought that was perfection,” Julianne Hough then gushed, adding that in her opinion, Skarlatos has the best form in the competition.
But earning that score wasn’t an easy task for Skarlatos. During the couple’s introduction, Arnold dished that the “biggest struggle” they faced was having Skarlatos embrace his inner vampiness.
“It has to be sexy,” she said. “No one is going to believe Alek if he can’t bring out his passionate side.”
So, Arnold had her two-stepping sidekick “prove [he had] enough sexiness to be a vampire” by having him snag a phone number during their Sunday night rehearsal. But the Legion of Honour recipient got more than just 10 digits -- Skarlatos ended up scoring a date while trying to embody a sexy bloodsucker.
“I would like to know if you’re going to go out with Jenna [a woman Skarlatos talked to during the intro] on a date,” “DWTS” co-host Erin Andrews questioned Arnold’s partner, who had a blood-like substance dripping from his lip, after their wild performance.
“He will! He will!” Arnold quickly replied.
"Dancing With the Stars" airs at 8 p.m. EDT Mondays and Tuesdays on ABC.
