'Dancing With The Stars’ 2015 Spoilers: Season 21 Contestant Nick Carter Reveals What ‘Backstreet Boys’ Song He May Dance To
You better quit playing games with our hearts, Nick Carter! On Thursday, the “Backstreet Boys” singer made our inner teen sequel with delight when he teased that he might be shaking it out to one of his hit singles during Season 21 of “Dancing With the Stars.”
But which chart-topping tune could the blonde haired boy band member be rocking out to when “DWTS” returns to the small screen on Monday, Sept. 14? Could Carter and his partner Sharna Burgess be Waltzing to the romantic tune of “As Long as You Love Me”? Or perhaps perform the pasodoble to the group’s hip-shaking song “Large Than Life”?
Well, during an interview with E! Online, the 35-year-old performer divulged which beloved “Backstreet Boys” single he might dance to in the upcoming installment of the ABC reality competition.
“As far as doing some stuff from past albums – thankfully we’ve had a lot of great hits over the years so we have a catalog to kind of go back to if we decide to do something,” he said before unveiling which song Burgess is itching to Cha Cha to. “Everyone’s thinking ‘Backstreet’s back’ and I know Sharna is such a a big fan. So, we were talking about doing a routine – maybe – for that song.”
Or perhaps the artist may hit the dance floor with an *NYSNC song sound tracking his Samba! Before Carter committed to participating on Season 21 of “DWTS,” he was urged by fellow boy bander Joey Fatone, who competed on both Season 4 and 15 of the competition series, to partake in the long-running show.
"Joey was one of the inspirations because I spoke to him about it and I'm like, 'You know I'm really pondering and considering this idea of doing ‘Dancing With the Stars.’ What do you think?'” Carter told Entertainment Tonight. “And he's like, 'You need to do it.' He said, 'I loved it. It was a great experience.’”
So, with Fatone’s encouragement, Carter agreed to slip back into his dancing shoes.
“I’m excited!” Carter told Us Weekly after it was revealed he would be a celebrity contestant on “DWTS.” “I never considered myself a great dancer. Even though funny enough I've danced my entire life, I might have had a little insecurity on that end. But I felt this time around I had some time and I think it'll be a cool experience. I think they can teach me some stuff."
What “Backstreet Boys” song do you hope Carter dances to during Season 21 of “Dancing With the Stars”? Watch the premiere on Monday, Sept. 14 at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
