‘Dancing With The Stars’ 2015 Spoilers: Suzanne Somers Threatens To Leave Season 20 During ‘Disney Night’ Rehearsals
It may be “Disney Night” on Week 5 of “Dancing With the Stars,” but not all couples from the 2015 competition are getting swept up in the enchantment of Monday night’s fan-favorite theme. According to reports, one dancing duo is in some serious need of Disney magic after they toyed with the idea of dropping out of Season 20 of the hit ABC series. That’s right -- we’re talking about a self-elimination.
But which pair is ready and willing to hang up their dancing shoes? E! Online’s sneak peek video reveals that “Three’s Company” star Suzanne Somers has lost her lust for competing on the hip-shaking series.
“I find learning these dances very, very difficult. It’s very, very frustrating,” the 68-year-old actress admits during her confessional.
The short clip then cuts to a scene of Somers unable to perfect a move in her Disney-inspired routine, which is when her partner, Tony Dovolani, urges her to take a break. But instead of cooling down, she heats up, stating she doesn’t think she can continue to compete in the 10-year anniversary season of “DWTS.”
“I don’t think I can do it. I don’t think I can stay with the show,” she says, clearly irritated. “I really don’t think I can stay on the show."
Dovolani is taken aback by his partner’s admission and quickly interjects that Somers “doesn’t seem like a quitter.”
“I’m just too lousy at it,” she replies.
Looks like if anyone could use Jiminy Cricket’s words of wisdom about wishing upon a star, it’s Somers! But we understand where her frustration is coming from -- after four weeks of competing and endless hours of practicing, she and Tony have yet to break a score of 30. Not exactly an encouraging situation!
But will Somers bow out of the competition before she’s able to perform her routine to Disney's “Lady and the Tramp”? (It was revealed that the tangoing twosome would be sashaying across the ballroom floor to the tune “He’s a Tramp” from the 1955 animated classic.) It seems safe to say that despite Somers' troubling confession in the behind-the-scenes clip, she will go ahead and pay homage to the adorable romantic musical on Monday night.
Do you think Suzanne Somers will leave Season 20 of the competition? Let us hear your thoughts in the comments section below and don’t forget to tune in Monday, April 13, at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC to catch “Disney Night” of “Dancing With the Stars.”
